How switching works

Your utility keeps delivering power and responding to outages. We take over the supply charge on your bill.

  1. Step 1

    Choose a plan

Compare the energy charge, term, and fees on the plans page.

  2. Step 2

    Enroll online or by phone

We need the service address and the account number from your current bill.

  3. Step 3

    We notify your utility

Your local utility schedules the switch for your next meter read.

  4. Step 4

    Service continues

Nothing changes at the meter. Your first Energy bill arrives after the switch date.

What you will need

  • Service address
  • Utility account number (on your current bill)
  • Meter or ESI number if shown on your bill
  • Contact phone and email
