The company
Energy was formed in 2005 to offer residential and small commercial customers a supply contract they could read in one sitting: a fixed energy charge, a defined term, and a fee schedule stated in full before enrollment.
We supply electricity, natural gas, and renewable-matched electricity. Delivery, metering, and emergency response remain with the local utility in each service area. Our field equipment division separately supplies locating and inspection equipment to utility contractors.
What we do
We purchase energy and sell it to customers under fixed-rate supply contracts. We do not own generation or distribution assets.
How we bill
One monthly statement shows our supply charges and your utility's delivery charges as separate line items, with the plan name and term end date printed on every bill.
How we support customers
Enrollment, transfers, billing questions, and cancellations are handled by phone during business hours. Outage calls are referred to the local utility with your account details.
How we operate
Pricing stated before you enroll
Every plan page lists the energy charge, monthly base charge, term length, and early termination fee. There are no introductory rates that reset after a few months.
Phone support during business hours
Customer service is staffed during business hours. Billing questions, plan changes, and transfers are handled on the call, not by ticket.
Account tools that show the bill math
Usage history, projected bills, and plan documents are available in your online account so you can check a statement against your plan terms.
Renewable supply you can document
Renewable plans match usage with renewable energy certificates that are retired on your behalf, with an annual statement for your records.
